Resolution
PROVIDING FOR THE ACQUISITION OF LANDS AND DRAINAGE EASEMENTS FOR THE
WAILUKU-ALENAIO WATERSHED DIVERSION NO. 4 PROJECT, JOB NO. P-2245, PUNAHOA
1ST AND 2ND, DISTRICT OF SOUTH HILO, COUNTY AND STATE OF HAWAII.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
I.
That it is necessary for public use and purpose, to wit: Providing
for the acquisition of lands and drainage easements for the Wailuku-Alenaio
Watershed Diversion No. 4 Project, Job No. P-2245, Punahoa 1st and 2nd,
District of South Hilo, County and State of Hawaii, to take, acquire, and
condemn said lands in fee simple together with drainage easements appurtenant
thereto hereinafter described, including all improvements thereon and appur-
tenances thereunto belonging, free and clear of all liens and encumbrances,
and to that end and for these purposes the Corporation Counsel of the County
of Hawaii be and he is authorized and empowered to initiate proceedings in
eminent domain, as provided by law, for the taking, acquisition and condemna-
tion of the following lands and drainage easements more particularly described
in Exhibits A, B and C attached hereto and made a part hereof.
II.
That in the process of said proceedings in eminent domain, said
Corporation Counsel be and he is hereby authorized and empowered to negotiate
terms of settlement, subject to the approval of this Council and of the
court before which such proceedings are prosecuted.

Beginning at the northeast corner of this parcel of land, on the westerly
side of Akolea Road, the coordinates of said point of beginning referred to
Government Survey Triangulation Station "HALAI" being 1,975.57 feet South

South:
