.J�tY Oi y4'.,' COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII RESOLUTION NO. 41$ 19 A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO GIRLS TO WOMEN MENTORING HAWAII FOR ITS PROGRAM RELATED EXPENSES. WHEREAS, Girls to Women Mentoring Hawai`i, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that offers meaningful connection and skills for adolescents that build empowerment, resilience, self-esteem, and healthy relationships through circles facilitated by trained adult mentors in various settings; and WHEREAS, Girls to Women Mentoring Hawai`i is a newly formed nonprofit that currently serves students at schools in Kea`au and Pahoa, with plans to add additional schools, including an adult mentorship circle at the University of Hawai`i; and WHEREAS, Girls to Women Mentoring Hawai`i is requesting funding for its program expenses, including insurance renewal, promotional merchandise, and website development; and WHEREAS, the Department of Liquor Control supports drug-fee and alcohol-free programs that enrich the lives of community members; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2)(A) of the Hawai`i County Code, Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event, activity, service, equipment, materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that Contingency Relief funds from Council District 4 will be appropriated to the Department of Liquor Control to provide a grant to Girls to Women Mentoring Hawai`i for its program related expenses. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai`i hereby transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below:
