Re: Resolution for multi-year lease
Anekona Ouli Kanehoa VFD Company, a Hawaii non-profit corporation, leases property
that contains a volunteer fire station, identified as Tax Map Key No. (3) 6-2-015:043, i
situated at 62-2489 Waiula Drive, Kamuela, County and State of Hawaii. With the
consent of property owner Hale Wailani Partners LP, lessee Anekona Ouli Kanehoa VFD
Company desires to assign its lease to the County of Hawaii Fire Department,to operate
its 9 Bravo Volunteer Fire Station, for the balance of the lease period of ninety-nine (99)
years.
Enclosed is a resolution authorizing the County to enter into a ninety-nine (99), multi-
year lease agreement with Anekona Ouli VFD Company to use this location for the
operation of the 9 Bravo Volunteer Fire Station of the County of Hawaii Fire
Department.

agreement for a ninety-nine (99) year period for the 9 Bravo Volunteer Company.

B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED}:
Anekona Ouli Kanehoa VFD Company has recently built a station facility at 62-2489 Waiula Drive, Kamuela
identified as Tax Map Key No. (3) 6-2-015:043. The Department desires to lease the ground space for a
longer term.
