Re: Operating Budget
West Hawaii Community Health Center, Inc. is providing $125,000 to the County of Hawaii for
the expansion of the Community Paramedicine Program. Funds will be used to purchase a motor
vehicle, fund education and training, fund software subscription, and to purchase durable medical
equipment.
Enclosed is a bill for an Ordinance to appropriate $125,000 from private contributions. If there are

Accept a grant from the West Hawaii Community Health Center, Inc. and amend the FY 19-20, Operating
Budget Ordinance 19-73 by increasing the appropriations as follows:
Prepare an accompanying ordinance as follows:
Revenue: 3607-13 Fire Dept. Private Contributions, $125,000.00
Expenditure: 010.221.5228.99.115 Fire Dept. Private Contributions, Misc Contract $125,000.00
B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED):
The West Hawaii Community Health Center, Inc. has provided this grant for the expansion of the
Community Paramedicine Program.
