Dear Hawaii County Council,
I support this bill to reduce toxic pesticide use in Hawaii County. Many toxic chemicals,
including the many formulations of glyphosate, have been used over the past 30 years without
adequate testing or safeguards. Children and the infirmed are most at risk. Organic and
regenerative methods of farming are safer and capable of meeting our needs. We in Hawaii
should do everything we can to ensure the safety and health of our people and the
sustainability of our agriculture. Please pass this common sense bill.
