Aloha Hawaii County Council Members,
I am writing you from Kauai in strong support of Bill 101 prohibiting the use of toxic herbicides on
all county owned parks, roads, bikeways, sidewalks, trails, drainage ways and waterways.
This is a positive step in the right direction to protect the community, the environment and the
county. I congratulate you on taking steps to better protect your island and community.
Every year there is more and more scientific evidence outlining more unintended consequences
from herbicide dependent land management practices. The impacts to children development and
the long term health of people, wildlife &our sensitive places is clear.
Action must be taken to limit exposure where ever possible. Thank you for doing what you can to
be part of the solution.
