BILL 101 is TOO BROAD. Bill 101 is embarrassingly uninformed, poorly written and
completely anti-science. There is no due diligence on cost or impact of it's poor wording that
would also ban the use of dangerous "natural" HERBICIDES. It smacks of the anti-GMO bill
that was so ignorantly passed and voted on by many members of this Council which ended up
having worldwide starvation impacts. A'OLE! This bill needs to go back to the drawing board
with cost and homeowner use taken into account.As well as the understanding that even
organic farming uses hazmat suits to spray their"natural herbicides."Educate yourselves on
the difference between pesticides and herbicides and Stop wasting taxpayers money on
frivolous issues and start taking care of the people. Housing, food security- We have starving
children on this island and this is what you are spending time on. Shame. Always taking the
easy road rather than the real issues.

STRONGLY OPPOSE Bill 101 -Relating to Herbicide Use
Dear Hawaii County Council Members,
I Oppose this bill for several reasons.
1. Bans the Use of Producst to Control the Albezia Trees
2. Bans Product that help limit habitate for LIttle Fire Ant Populations
3. Removes important tools and choices to combat invasive plants and prenet noxius
weeds and invasive species.
4. I'm unwilling to bear the Cost associated with this Bill as a taxpayer.
Please consider the impacts of passing unfunded and un-researched Bills. What will be the real
cost to Hawaii County taxpayers $500,000 or$5 Million; The costs and impacts have not been
considered before submitting this Bill.
