Case in point: Feral Cat fostering program.
- Fact that there is a feral cat problem is best indicator that
the Humane Society has not been doing their job; control
of unwanted & unneeded animal population.
- By what authority is a small group of people making
decisions that bear significant environmental impact?
Precious few endemic birds left are and will be more
severely impacted; directly, by predation and indirectly by
disturbance of nesting grounds, causing abandonment
and forcing out of natural territories, resulting in inability
to breed.
- Setting up colonies of feral cats at beaches and parks a
very counter productive measure. The feeding of these
colonies will promote the dumping of cats; they will be
RECEIVED , fed. Island-wide individuals will follow suit, further

Americans alone who have cat allergies. With or without
allergies, who would like to take their family to a beach
infested with fleas, covered in cat hair and encrusted with
"kitty glass".
- Rodent control not a justification. Rats, highly adaptive,
vacate any area developing cat scent. They simply move
to surrounding residences and hotels. Rodent control
needs to be addressed by the Health Department not the
Humane Society.
