Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 383-19, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 383-19, transmitted by Council Member Maile David, via Communication No. 582
dated October 30, 2019 awards a Public Access, Open Space, and Natural Resources Preservation
Maintenance Stewardship Grant to Na Mamo O Kawa.
This resolution approves a grant of$97,315 to Na Mamo O Kawa, a 501(c)(3)nonprofit organization, to
protect, preserve, and restore the Kawa properties in Ka`u, pursuant to Section 10-16 of the Hawaii
County Charter,
Committee Chair Maile David thanked Na Mamo O Kawa for their hard work, dedication, and
conunitment to manage and malama the `aina.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 383-19, and
recommends its adoption.
