Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 384-19, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 384-19, transmitted by Council Member Maile David, via Communication No. 583
dated October 30, 2019 awards a Public Access, Open Space, and Natural Resources Preservation
Maintenance Stewardship Grant to Ho`omalu Ka`u.
This resolution approves a grant of$24,250 to Ho`omalu Ka`u, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, to
protect, preserve, and restore the Kahua Olohu, Kaunamano, property in Ka`u, pursuant to Section 10-16
of the Hawaii County Charter.
Committee Chair Maile David thanked Ho`omalu Ka`u for their hard work, dedication, and commitment
to managing and malama the `aina and asked for the Council's support.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 384-19, and
recommends its adoption.
