Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 385-19,reports as follows: I
Resolution No. 385-19, transmitted by Council Member Karen Eoff, via Communication No. 584 dated 1
October 30, 2019 awards a Public Access, Open Space, and Natural Resources Preservation
Maintenance Stewardship Grant to Kohanaiki `Ohana.
This resolution approves a grant of$21,680 to Kohanaiki `Ohana, a 501(c)(3)nonprofit organization, to
protect, preserve, and restore the `O`oma Beach property in North Kona, pursuant to Section 10-16 of
the Hawaii County Charter.
Council Member Karen Eoff thanked Mason Myrmo for providing updated pictures and thanked him
along with his crew, all the volunteers, and students for their commitment in taking care of the land and
the reefs.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 385-19, and
recommends its adoption.
