Re: Amendment to the Hawaii County Code
Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending Chapter 12 of the Hawaii County Code relating to
Improvement Districts. The purpose of this bill is to streamline the process for 100% owners,
allow for changes in assessments when there is a change in classification or use, and allow for
owner procurement and project administration. These changes will help to encourage more
improvements districts which will help provide needed infrastructure on our island and help
facilitate the development of affordable housing.
