Here's another example of throwing out the baby with the bath water: When properly used,
• most herbicides protect our sustainability and provide a smart solution to vermin infested and
unhealthy overgrowth.
Hawaii County Bill 101 - Relating to Herbicides
STRONGLY OPPOSE
Dear Hawaii County Council Members,
• I Oppose this bill for several reasons.

1. Bans products needed for Hawaii County to control invasive species
and plants.
2. The cost, it's unfair to force taxpayers to pay for a Bill that has not
been thought out.
3. It's a precursor to a larger ban; targeted at agriculture and turfgrass.
We cannot afford to lose another farmer over bad bills.
Please consider the impacts of passing a bill of this magnitude without a
plan! According to the Hawaii County Parks & Recreation Director, this Bill
will cost more than $14 Million dollars annually...
VOTE NO ON BILL 101 - The costs and impacts have not been considered
before this bill was submitted.
