Dear Council members: I want to submit testimony to Hawaii County Bill 101. I oppose Bill 101
banning the county from using herbicides. This is an important tool in maintaining roadways and
control of invasive species. I am currently employed by Ponoholo Ranch in Kohala and for the many
years as a resident have seen the county responsibly use herbicides in their maintenance of our
