RESOLUTION NO. 430 i9
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A
DONATION OF FUNDS TO BE USED TOWARDS THE EXPANSION
OF THE COMMUNITY PARAMEDICINE PROGRAM TO THE
COUNTY OF HAWAII FIRE DEPARTMENT.
WHEREAS, the West Hawaii Community Health Center, Inc. is donating
funds to the County of Hawaii Fire Department for the expansion of the
Community Paramedicine Program; and
WHEREAS, these funds will be used to purchase durable medical equipment,
purchase motor vehicles, fund education and training and fund software subscriptions;
and
WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii Fire Department recommends approval
of this donation by West Hawaii Community Health Center, Inc.; and
WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter, provides
that the Council, on behalf of the County, may accept gifts of donations of money,
securities, or other personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estate;
now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII, , in
accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter, the
County of Hawaii, accepts this donation.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that a letter of appreciation and a copy of this
resolution be sent to West Hawaii Community Health Center, Inc., 75-5751
Kuakini Hwy., Suite 203, Kailua-Kona, HI 96740, and that a copy of this resolution
be sent to the Fire Department, the Department of Finance and the Office of the
Mayor.
