The science regarding the use of herbicides is incomplete and the cause of illnesses is entirely
likely to something else altogether, or improper usage. Our island needs weed control and
prevention of invasive species which we already have too much of.
Hawaii County Bill 101 elating to Herbicides
STRONGLY
Dear Hawaii County Council Members,
I Oppose this bill for several reasons.
1, Dans products needed for Hawaii County to control invasive species
and plants.
. The cost, it's unfair to force taxpayers to pay for a Lill that has not
been thought out.
3. It's a precursor to a larger ban; targeted at agriculture and turfgrass.
We cannot afford to lose another farmer over bad bilis.
Please consider the impacts of passing a bill of this magnitude without a
plan! According to the Hawaii County Parks & Recreation Director, this Bill
will cost more than 14 Million dollars annually...
VOTE NO ON BILL 101 - The costs and impacts have not been considered
before this bill was submitted.
