The lack of animal control in West COUi v Y lI= NI:W,"-,I! Hawaii is intolerable. We have many people who are afraid to walk in their own neighborhoods for fear of being hurt by roaming dogs. I have had this experience myself, and would be glad to testify at a future meeting that I feel should be held in West Hawaii. I walk my dogs on leashes, but always meet several dogs that are not on leashes or being supervised in any way. Some of these dogs are very aggressive. Our Humane Society is ineffective in the area of Animal control. 1 don't know where their money goes, (maybe to executive salaries and cars, but certainly not to effective animal control, On Kohanalki Rd. we have had many incidents of roaming dogs going on to private properties and killing pets, as well as poultry and small livestock such as sheep. We need fewer administrators and more animal control officers , with longer on duty hours. This is another good example as to why we, in West Hawaii need our own City Government and Municipality. We do not get response from the County unless we, as individuals spend endless hours and our own money in order to get heard. C~ ~/~3/~Y Comm. No. 396 . OZ~ , Nile No. Q EV ReY, ToPresented F C Ref.
