Testimony on Bill No. 126 (2019) —Hawaii County Energy Code Bill
Tileco Inc. is a concrete block manufacturing company located in Kapolei, Hawaii.

Tileco Inc. supports the intent of the mass wall amendments included in Bill No. 126 and
would like to request minor clarifying anlendnients to TABLE R402.1.2 of the
International Energy Conservation Code, as shown on the following page of this
testimony.
Bill 126 will ensure that the sustainability and safety benefits of mass wall constructioli
are recognized and implemented in the Hawaii County Energy Code. This is important
as the code will be tailored to Hawaii's County's tinique climate, resulting in greater
energy efficiency and cost savings.
