First of all, I would like to register my support for
resolution 12699. I would like to see the legislature
encourage the auditor's office perform a special study
regarding the status of ani.ma7. con t.roJ. i.n the County of
Hawai.i..
I am a member of AUVOCats, and have a great concern for the
well being o.C felines in Hawaii. Not only am I concerned
for the humane treatment of felines, but my concern extends
to all animals.
Members of ADVOcats feed and care for numerous colonies of
feral cats orr a daily basis at their own expense, and are
involved in a spaying & neutering program, made possible by
the generosity of caring and concerned citizens, It is our
hope that many other organizations will enlist a similar
program in a fight for those who cannot fight for
themselves, thereby roducing the number of unwanted animalo.
