RESOLUTION NO. 456 20
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PURCHASE A STOVE FOR THE PAHALA
COMMUNITY CENTER.
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation, Recreation Division, plans,
conducts, arranges, and promotes organized recreation and athletic activities for all age groups at
recreation centers and facilities throughout the County of Hawai`i; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation rents its facilities for community
events and would like to improve Pahala Community Center by installing a new stove, which
would benefit the community and possibly increase rentals; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation is requesting funds to purchase a
stove for the Pahala Community Center; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that
Contingency Relief funds from Council District 6 will be appropriated to the Department of
Parks and Recreation to purchase a stove for the Pahala Community Center.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai`i hereby
transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Parks and Recreation and Director of Finance, and that the Director
of Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of
this resolution.
