�JNtV ui M,k, COUNTY OF HAWAII `• STATE OF HAWAII RESOLUTION NO. 457 ZO A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO WEST HAWAII PARKS AND ATHLETIC COPORATION TO SUPPORT THE 81h ANNUAL HAWAII SENIOR SOFTBALL TOURNAMENT. WHEREAS, the West Hawaii Parks and Athletic Corporation (WHIPAC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that is partnering with the County of Hawaii to host the 81h Annual Hawaii Senior Softball Tournament; and WHEREAS, the 81h Annual Hawaii Senior Softball Tournament draws mainland and local senior softball men and women players to this prestigious event and is being held January 20-23, 2020, at the Kailua Park in Kailua-Kona; and WHEREAS, WHIPAC has requested financial assistance with expenses associated with umpire fees and printing of tournament booklets associated with the Senior Softball Tournament; and WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation provides an array of services for the public with excellence, integrity, and aloha; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2)(A) of the Hawaii County Code, Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event, activity, service, equipment, materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used ; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that Contingency Relief funds from Council District 7 will be appropriated to the Department of Parks and Recreation to provide a grant to WHIPAC for expenses related to the 8th Annual Hawaii Senior Softball Tournament. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawaii hereby transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below:
