Re: Resolution for multi-year agreement
The County's Office of Housing and Community Development (OHCD)published a
Public Notice on February 18 and 19, 2019 for the Section 8 Project Based Voucher
program. The OHCD wishes to enter into a multi-year agreement with the property
managers or property owners of the selected projects.
Enclosed is a resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into a multi-year Housing
Assistance Payment Contract(Agreement) with property owners or property managers of
the selected projects as indicated above.

A. REQUEST:
The Office of Housing and Community Development(OHCD) requests Finance Committee and County
actions authorizing the Mayor to enter into a multi-year Housing Assistance Payment Contract (Agreement)
with property owners or property managers of selected projects for the Section 8 Project Based Voucher
Program(PBV Program) offered through a Public Notice dated February 18 and 19, 2019.
B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED):
The purpose of the PBV program is to further the OHCD's overall goal to provide for the development of
viable communities in the county by providing decent housing, suitable living environments, expanding
housing and economic opportunities, and deconcentrating povery.
The OHCD, through the RFP has selected proposed projects: Kaiaulu 0 Kapiolani (25), Kaloko Heights (25),
Papa'aloa Elderly Housing (20), and West Kawili Street Senior(50).
