RESOLUTION NO. 461 20
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF A LATER
FISCAL YEAR AND OF MORE THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR FOR A
MULTI-YEAR AGREEMENT FOR SOFTWARE LICENSING
WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the County Charter requires that any contract, lease
or other obligation requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal
year or of more than one fiscal year be approved by resolution; and
WHEREAS, the County's current Microsoft Government Enterprise agreement for
the licensing of Microsoft software expires in January 2020; and
WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii wishes to enter into a new three (3) year, multi-
year Microsoft Government Enterprise agreement in order to continue its utilization of
this software; and
WHEREAS, this agreement provides for annual licensing, maintenance and
support fees for the software indicated above; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a three (3) year
agreement for the software licensing as described above, for the
Department of Information Technology.
2. That sufficient funds be budgeted in future fiscal years to cover the
anticipated obligations of the County under the terms of the agreement.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk of the County of Hawaii
shall transmit copies of this resolution to the Office of the Mayor, Department of
Information Technology, and the Finance Department.
