RESOLUTION NO. 463 20
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A
DONATION OF FUNDS TO BE USED TOWARDS TRAVEL AND
OTHER EXPENSES TO ATTEND AN INTERNATIONAL HOMICIDE
INVESTIGATORS ASSOCIATION MEETING TO THE COUNTY OF
HAWAII POLICE DEPARTMENT.
WHEREAS, the International Homicide Investigators Association is donating
funds to the County of Hawaii Police Department for travel and other expenses to attend
the International Homicide Investigators Association Mid-Year Meeting; and
WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii Police Department recommends approval of
this donation by the International Homicide Investigators Association; and
WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter, provides that
the council, on behalf of the county, may accept gifts of donations of money, securities, or
other personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estate; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII, , in
accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter, the County of
Hawaii, accepts this donation.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this
resolution to the Police Department, the Department of Finance and the Office of the
Mayor.
