In accordance with the County Charter Section 13-4, I submit Stacey E. Aguiar for
reappointment to the Board of Appeals.
The Council recently confirmed Ms. Aguiar on November 20, 2019 with-an expiration
date of December 31, 2019. She is now eligible to serve a full term that would expire on
December 31, 2024.
According to the-report led by your Committee on Planning, several committee
members offered favorable comments about Ms. Aguiar after hearing her original
nomination.
As noted previously, Ms. Aguiar was born and raised in Hawaii' and she indicates that
she is not affiliated with any political party.
Due to the needs of the Board, I respectfully ask that this nomination be waived through
Committee and placed on the full Council agenda of January-8, 2020.
Your continued favorable confirmation is requested. Please contact me if you have any

Pursuant to Section 2(g) of Rule 4 of the Rulesof Procedure of the Council of the County of
Hawai`i,this written request is submitted with my approval that the above-referenced matter be
waived from the Committee on Planning to the full Council for immediate action. In reviewing
this matter, timely approval is crucial. It is therefore advantageous that approval is granted and
the matter be placed onto the next Council agenda for review. However, in the event this request
is denied, for whatever reason, I understand the matter shall be referred to the Committee on
Planning for placement on its future agenda.
