NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Pursuant to the requirements of Section 19-90, Article 11, Chapter 19 of the Hawai`i County Code,
notice is hereby given that the following public hearings will be held by the Council of the County of Hawai`i
for the purpose of considering real property tax rates for all classes of real property in the County of Hawaii for
Fiscal Year July 1,2004 to June 30, 2005.
DATES: May 19, 2004 (Wednesday) May 20, 2004 (Thursday)
TIMES: 5:00 p.m. 6:00 p.m.
PLACES: County Building `Ohana Keauhou Beach Resort
County Council Room Conference Room Kahalu`u I
25 Aupuni Street 78-6740 Ali`i Drive
Hilo, Hawai`i Kailua-Kona, Hawai`i
The County Council will consider the following tax rates (no change from last year) for all classes of
real property for the Fiscal Year July 1, 2004 to June 30, 2005:

A. Improved Residential $9.10 $9.10
B. Unimproved Residential $9.85 $9.85

G. Agricultural or Native Forest $9.85 $9.85
H. Conservation $9.85 $9.85
I. Homeowner $5.55 $5.55
All persons desiring to express their views on the above matter may do so orally at the hearing and must
register prior to the convening of the meeting. Those unable to attend may submit their written statements by
Wednesday, May 19, 2004, 4:30 p.m. to the County Clerk's Office, 25 Aupuni Street, Hilo, Hawai`i 96720.
Written statements submitted after this date, through May 20, 2004, 4 p.m., may be submitted to the County
Council's Kona Branch Office, 77-6399 Nalani Street, Suite 104, Kailua-Kona, Hawai`i 96740.
The meeting place is accessible for persons with physical disabilities. Persons who need special
