Your Committee on Public Safety, to which was referred Communication No. 690,reports as
follows:
Communication No. 690,transmitted by Managing Director Roy Takemoto, dated December 20, 2019,
nominates Benjamin Agdeppa to the Fire Commission.
Rose Bautista, Executive Assistant to the Mayor, introduced Benjamin Agdeppa. Mr. Agdeppa
currently works as a sales representative and merchandiser for K& K Distributors in Kailua-
Kona and the owner of Benjamin Agdeppa Photography. He is a graduate of Konawaena High
School and Hawaii Community College. He dedicates many hours as a volunteer with his
church, Special Olympics, Boys Scouts of America, Ironman Triathlon, and is a current member
of the County's Transportation Commission.
Mr. Agdeppa thanks the Mayor and Council for the consideration to serve.
Council Members as a whole are in support of the nomination. Chair Villegas stated that
Mr. Agdeppa is not required to appear before the Council for final approval.
The Committee on Public Safety is in accord with the purpose and intent of Communication
No. 690, and recommends confirmation of the appointment of Benjamin Agdeppa to the Fire
Commission.
