Testimony on Bill No. 126(2019)—Hawaii County Energy Code Bill
Tileco Inc. is a concrete block manufacturing company located in Kapolei, Hawaii.
Tileco Inc.'s labor force consists of signatory members to the Hawaii Laborers'
International Union of North America, Local 368.
Tileco Inc. supports the mass wall amendments included in Bill No. 126. Bill 126 will
ensure that the sustainability and safety benefits of mass wall construction are recognized
and implemented in the Hawaii County Energy Code. This is important as the code will
be tailored to Hawaii's County's unique climate, resulting in greater energy efficiency
and cost savings.
