Aloha,
My name is Wai`ala and I'm submitting testimony in regards to the Veto of Bill 101. I am urging you as a
concerned citizen to override this veto and STOP the spraying of pesticides on county property.
The science, countless public, private and medical records with damning evidence that proves that the chemical
pesticides used are very dangerous, and detrimental to the health and well being of all beings and our `aina.
The reasons to veto this bill due to expense, etc are not valid. Overall presumed cost, maintenance or invalid
expenses are not truthful reasons to veto this bill or prevent it from passing. Please continue to listen to the
community, to do the research, to see the positive impacts and natural solutions that have been taken in other
counties like Maui, who don't use pesticides and have been successful in maintenance and prevention.
Please do the right thing for the people, for the land and for all beings and future generations. Please support
Bill 101 and override the veto.
