Dear county council members,
I write to add my voice to what I hope will be the large chorus of individuals encouraging you to override
Mayor Kim's veto of Bill 101. Tomorrow is my daughter's eleventh birthday, otherwise I would be there in
person; but it is for her, her peers, and the generations to follow hers that I write.
You did your due diligence in passing the bill initially, and, for those with reservations about their favor of it,
there is every reason to have confidence that the stated concerns can be resolved within the generous transition
period.
To those of you who voted YES on Bill 101, I thank you for doing the right thing for our island and our keiki. I
write to encourage your veto tomorrow.
