As a long time resident, I have seen near misses or cars racing across and come within inches of an accident. We certainly need either traffic lights for all intersections at the corner of Paniolo Ave and Waikoloa Rd OR perhaps a traffic circle? Many visitors have no idea who has the right of way to continue up Waikoloa Rd to the Upper Road or who can turn, who waits, etc. to get to the post office, turning right to get down to Queen K Hwy. With the addition of the new shopping center, we need clearer signals as to who has the right of way, when to turn left, right or go straight through. If this is not done, I can only imagine the confusion at that intersection once the shopping center is finished. We certainly don't want to look back after a major car accident to realize something needed to be done.
