RESOLUTION NO. 483 20
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT FOR THE 2020 SUMMER FUN PROGRAM AT THE
SGT. RODNEY J. T. YANO MEMORIAL HALL.
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation's 2020 Summer Fun Program at
the Sgt. Rodney J. T. Yano Memorial Hall (Yano Hall), located in Captain Cook, provides arts-
and-crafts activities and recreation for elementary students during the summer break; and
WHEREAS, funds are needed to assist low-income families in the South Kona district
to ensure an affordable opportunity for the children to participate in the 2020 Summer Fun
Program; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation is requesting Contingency Relief
funds to offset the out-of-pocket costs per child for registration fees, transportation, and/or other
activities for its 2020 Summer Fun Program at Yano Hall; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that
Contingency Relief funds from Council District 6 will be appropriated to the Department of
Parks and Recreation for its 2020 Summer Fun Program at Yano Hall.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai`i hereby
transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Parks and Recreation and Director of Finance, and that the Director
of Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of
this resolution.
