RESOLUTION NO. 485 20
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PURCHASE AND INSTALL AIR
CONDITIONING UNITS AND LED LIGHTING FOR THE POLICE SUBSTATION AT
CAPTAIN COOK.
WHEREAS, the Police Substation at Captain Cook is in need of air conditioning units
and LED lighting; and
WHEREAS, the current condition is beyond repair and requires a total replacement to
provide a comfortable, safe, and clean facility for police officers to file reports and temporary
accommodations; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works will be installing six air conditioning units
and LED lighting and is requesting funds to purchase the air conditioning units, LED lighting,
and materials and supplies; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that
Contingency Relief funds from Council District 6 will be appropriated to the Department of
Public Works to purchase and install air conditioning units and LED lighting for the Police
Substation at Captain Cook.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai`i hereby
transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Public Works and Director of Finance, and that the Director of
Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of this
resolution.
