Re: Operating Budget
In the current Budget Ordinance 19-73, $59,000 is appropriated in the Prosecuting Attorney's
Violence Against Women account. Additional federally-derived funds in the amount of$27,431 is
being provided by the State of Hawaii Department of the Attorney General to fund salary and
program expenses.
Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating these
additional funds into the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney's Violence Against Women account,
bringing the total appropriation to $86,431.

A. REQUEST:
A resolution for ordinance to accept additional funds in our VAWA 17-WF-03 grant agreement. The current
amount of Federal funds in our budget is $59,000. We would like to accept the additional amount of$27,431
that VAWA is offering us. Additional funds will be distributed as follows:

funds. These funds will allow the program to cover the cost of additional salaries, equipment and travel for
