Contract account and crediting it to the Worker's Comp - G, Misc. Charges account. A transfer of funds is respectfully requested to cover the increase in compensation amount for Leong, Kunihiro, Benton & Brooke as Special Counsel for the Department of Human Resources, Worker's Compensation Division (refer to Council Communication No. 708). The Office of the Corporation Counsel requests that this resolution be waived from Finance Committee and be placed on the February 19, 2020 Council agenda in order to expedite this process. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): A transfer is needed to cover the increase in compensation amount for Leong, Kunihiro, Benton & Brooke as Special Counsel to the Department of Human Resources, Workers' Compensation Division. Refer to Council Communication No. 708. Funds are available in the 010.131.5131.10.115 account because there were no new special counsel contracts to date, and none currently anticipated.
