OPPOSE RESOLUTION 475-20

Dear Representatives of the County Council,
Please oppose the ridiculous grandstanding, yet toothless Resolution 475-20, created
solely as fodder to appease the fact that you all received huge amounts of written and
in-person testimony for the bill to ban them, and yet, killed that bill after much hard work
by many people including some of you.
It was truly a disappointing slap in the face to have the council reject an opportunity to
actually represent the voice and will of the people of Hawaii who have clearly, en
masse, demanded TRUE REFORM on the use of pesticides and poisons, and an end to
this corporate profiteering madness at the expense of the health of the People, the Sea,
and the Aina.
Please, do the work of the people and the right thing, not the CORPORATE LACKEY
absolutely worthless, albeit big wordy AND completely TOOTHLESS Resolution this
thing represents. PLEASE OPPOSE THIS RESOLUTION!
Thank you to those who are actually WORKING FOR THE PEOPLE they represent and
hearing our voices. You are the actual good people for actually HEARING OUR PLEAS
and acting on them rather than doing the bidding of corporate masters while creating
this worthless type of placation to get better banners and future corporate funding. You
will each be remembered for the truth of your actions, if not in history, then ultimately by
a higher power from which none can hide.
Please be clear, whether the authors of this resolution and killers of the actual ban think
so or not, you are each seen clearly in the lens of the people and it's really beyond
untenable that you didn't pass the ban, which could have been workable with a bit
further effort, so I beseech the rest of you, who actually care about the VOICE of the
PEOPLE, please, at least OPPOSE this really sneaky play for PR and worthless to
anyone's health. Oppose this RESOLUTION of nothingness and hear us! PLEASE! Do
the right thing, not some worthless empty placating from which this resolution clearly
stems.
We, the people, your neighbors and constituents, SEE clearly what this resolution is and
ISN'T besides a disgrace and a MOCKERY. Please do the right thing with this and
OPPOSE THIS RESOLUTION 474-20!
