I am more than disappointed that the Bill addressing the same topic was not passed. As you are
well aware, Resolutions are hollow and you might as well be debating a 'Big Island Roundup
Day'resolution in its place. Let's get a real bill back on the table. When will Hawaii County take
a forward looking approach to the Big Island?This resolution is simply taking advantage of the
fact that most people don't know the difference between a resolution and a bill. I will support a

new bill but not this shameful resolution. 3
