I was one of the hundreds of Big Island residents who testified to BAN HERBICIDE SPRAYING on county
roads and parks.
I
It was a kick in the gut when this bill was sabotaged-and a further insult to injury when Ashley Kierkiewicz_
killed our chances of passing the law.
Instead of passing a REAL BAN on spraying,Ashley Kierkiewicz and Sue Lee Loy are introducing a
worthless,toothless RESOLUTION that dances around the IDEA of reducing pesticide use,but steers clear of
doing what we the people have asked for: a REAL ban on spraying parks and roadsides,
This is an obvious political move to win points with Monsanto while looking green,but at what price???The
price is the health and safety of our children and families.
You are fooling NO ONE! I OPPOSE RESOLUTION 475-20.I ask you to show some integrity and vote
against this political STUNT!
'Ms resolution isn't no more than an unacceptable,transparent insult to the 100s of community members,
including pediatricians,who have said,loud and clear,we need a REAL.(enforceable)LAW to BAN spraying!
