Hundreds of your constituents took time to testify, many taking time off work to show support for this bill. We were so happy when the county council passed it, even though it wasn't going to take affect until 2024. Four years from now! Many people I have talked to didn't even know that it had since been vetoed by the mayor and then opposed by the county council the second time around. We are deeply disturbed by the continuation of the poisoning happening to the earth, waters, animals and all of us. I work in the health care industry and am seeing a steady increase in autoimmune disorders and cancers. Glyphosate in our food, water and air are affecting our bodies, it impacts our gut lining, allowing leaky gut syndrome, the underlying issue with many autoimmune conditions. Glyphosate also kills organisms in the soil, which we need for growing healthy, nutrient rich food. Please kill this phony resolution. We had a bill that was written with so much work,by so many people. A bill that would have put a real ban on spraying our parks and roadsides. We have a right to a healthy environment. We have a right to protect our children and grandchildren. We have a right to protect the water and Aina. Please do the right thing.
