Aloha Esteemed Council Members,
I am writing as a 20 year Puna resident and the past Kalapana Seaview Estates Community
Association President for four years. I can not urge you enough to commence with the
construction of the Bus Hub in Pahoa. The location across from the High School is an obvious
and practical location. No more studies need to be done. It's already functioning as a hitch-
hiking hub with zero organization or infrastructure. Please put politics and minutiae aside and
vote to affirm this location. It is essential to the flourishing of Pahoa and to the needs of your
constituents. As a concentrated ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) area
public transit is imperative to lifting the working poor out of peril and helping them become
more contributing members of society. Please address these needs.
