CALL TO ORDER: A public hearing to consider the proposed operating and capital budgets
for fiscal year July 1, 2016, to June 30, 2017, was called to order by
Chair Dru Mamo Kanuha at 5:13 p.m., in the Council Chambers,
Hilo.
ATTENDANCE:
Present: Mr. Dru Mamo Kanuha, Chair
Mr. Aaron S. Y. Chung, Member
Ms. Karen Eoff, Member
Mr. Greggor Eagan, Member
Mr. Dennis "Fresh" Onishi, Member
Mr. Danny Paleka, Member
Ms. Margaret Wille, Member
Absent & Excused: Ms. Maile "Medeiros" David, Member
Ms. Valerie T. Poindexter, Vice Chair
CHR KANUHA: Pursuant to Section 10-4 of the Hawaii County
Charter, we are holding a public hearing before the County Council to
consider the proposed operating budget and capital budget for fiscal
year July 1't, 2016, to June 30th, 2017. This hearing is specifically for
public testimony. We will not go into decision making or discussion on
this public hearing. So, this is specifically for public testimony.
