Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 138,reports as follows:
Bill No. 138, transmitted by Finance Director Deanna S ako, via Communication No. 758 dated
January 30, 2020, amends Ordinance No. 19-73, as amended, the Operating Budget for the County
of Hawaii for the Fiscal Year ending June 30, 2020.
This bill increases-revenues in the Federal Grants—Violence Against Women account ($27,431); and
appropriates the same to the Violence Against Women account, for a total appropriation of$86,431.
Funds would be used to cover the cost of additional salaries, equipment, and travel for training for the
Office of the Prosecuting Attorney.
There was no discussion on this matter.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill 138, and recommends its
passage on first reading.
