RESOLUTION NO. 5,14 20
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRINGIAPPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PURCHASE TABLES AND CHAIRS FOR THE
PAHOA DISTRICT PARK.
WHEREAS,the Department of Parks and Recreation provides and facilitates a wide
array of services and opportunities that meet the needs of the Big Island community while
maintaining cultural uniqueness of our rich heritage, diversity, and the aloha spirit; and
WHEREAS, The Food Basket Inc. and Bodacious Women of Pahoa are collaborating
with the Department of Parks and Recreation to present the Pahoa Farmer's Market, which will
be held on Sundays at Pahoa District Park and offer products,produce, and wares that are grown,
produced, or made on the Island of Hawaii; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation is requesting funding assistance to
purchase tables and chairs to be used for community meetings, recreational activities, and public
events such as the Pdhoa Farmer's Market; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that
Contingency Relief funds from Council District 5 will be appropriated to the Department of
Parks and Recreation to purchase tables and chairs for the Pahoa District Park.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawaii hereby
transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Parks and Recreation and Director of Finance, and that the Director
of Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of
this resolution.
