RESOLUTION CREATING ONE (1) NEW CLERK III POSITION
FOR THE HAWAVI COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN
RESOURCES
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 19-73, the FY 2019-20 Operating Budget
for the County of Hawaii includes an appropriation for salary and wages and
fringe benefits for one (1) new Clerk III position for the Department of Human
Resources; and
WHEREAS, the creation of this position is needed to support the
department's increase in workload; and
WHEREAS, the position indicated above is a Clerk III, SR -10 position;
WHEREAS, Article V, Section 5-1.3(c) of the Hawaii County Charter
states that the Mayor has the power to "Create positions... for which
appropriations have been made by the council..."; now, therefore,
that one (1) Clerk III position be created in the Hawaii County Department of
Human Resources.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be
transmitted to the Office of the Mayor, the Department of Finance and the
Department of Human Resources.
