WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 19-73, the FY 2019-20 Operating Budget
for the County of Hawaii includes an appropriation for salary and wages and
fringe benefits for one (1) new temporary position for the Office of the
Prosecuting Attorney; and
WHEREAS, the creation of this position is needed to support their
District Court Clerical Unit; and
WHEREAS, the position indicated above is a Legal Clerk 11 (Temp),
WHEREAS, Article V, Section 5-1.3(c) of the Hawaii County Charter
states that the Mayor has the power to "Create positions... for which
appropriations have been made by the council..."; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII
that one (1) Legal Clerk 11 (Temp) position be created in the Hawaii County
Office of the Prosecuting Attorney.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be
transmitted to the Office of the Mayor, the Department of Finance, the
Department of Human Resources and the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney.
