COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII <br />RESOLUTION NO. 540 20 <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A <br />DONATION OF TOURNIQUETS TO THE COUNTY OF HAWAIJ <br />POLICE DEPARTMENT. <br />WHEREAS, the Kona Community Hospital Trauma Program is donating 150 CAT <br />Gen 7 tourniquets to the County of Hawaii Police Department; and <br />WHEREAS, the tourniquets will be used for Police recruit training and will be issued <br />to Police Officers as a tool to save lives in emergency situations; and <br />WHEREAS, Article X111, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter, provides that the <br />council, on behalf of the county, may accept gifts of donations of money, securities, or other <br />personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estate; now therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI'I,, in <br />accordance with Article X111, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter, the County of <br />Hawaii, accepts this donation. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that letters of appreciation and a copies of this <br />resolution be sent to Wendi Wagner, RN BA MN TCRN, Trauma Program Manager, Kona <br />Community Hospital, 79-1019 Haukapila Street, Kealakekua, Hawaii 96750 and Stacy <br />Domingo, Fire Specialist 3, Hawaii Fire Department, 75 Aupuni Street, Hilo, Hawaii <br />96720. <br />
