RESOLUTION NO. 540 20
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A
DONATION OF TOURNIQUETS TO THE COUNTY OF HAWAIJ
POLICE DEPARTMENT.
WHEREAS, the Kona Community Hospital Trauma Program is donating 150 CAT
Gen 7 tourniquets to the County of Hawaii Police Department; and
WHEREAS, the tourniquets will be used for Police recruit training and will be issued
to Police Officers as a tool to save lives in emergency situations; and
WHEREAS, Article X111, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter, provides that the
council, on behalf of the county, may accept gifts of donations of money, securities, or other
personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estate; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI'I,, in
accordance with Article X111, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter, the County of
Hawaii, accepts this donation.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that letters of appreciation and a copies of this
resolution be sent to Wendi Wagner, RN BA MN TCRN, Trauma Program Manager, Kona
Community Hospital, 79-1019 Haukapila Street, Kealakekua, Hawaii 96750 and Stacy
Domingo, Fire Specialist 3, Hawaii Fire Department, 75 Aupuni Street, Hilo, Hawaii
96720.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this
resolution to the Police Department,the Department of Finance and the Office of the Mayor.
