Unable toattend your March 10meeting
Council members:
My apologies I won't be able to wear red and show up to the Council Chambers,to show solidarity with
my friends and neighbors of Kapoho.Alas, I have to work, and the meeting falls during the workday.
Please let the record reflect that I FULLY SUPPORT restoring Pohoiki Road, Highway 137 and the
extension of Highway 132 into "Lighthouse Road," in order to ensure everyone I know and don't know `

can GET HOME.
Please do what you can to help Puna establish and restore alternate routes. Please listen to the people
who actually live in lower Puna.Value our input and insight. Ensure whatever money is being spent on
consultation" actually include the voices of the people of Puna who have been most impacted.
We have pulled ourselves up by our boot straps. We have endured some extreme trauma. I could be a
crying mess testifying before you,trying to tell you how infuriating all of this has been. But you know
what? | have towork.That's how vvestay resilient,wework.
Please help us by doing what you can to pave the way for us to get back to our properties, especially to
those who actually have anything left!And you know what?Do not dismiss lower Puna. Remember that
vvelive onahot spot, and everyone could gothrough what vvehave! Help us...two years later,wehave
persisted, but we still need help! Opening up any and all roads,that's how to help us. Mahalo.
