RESOLUTION NO. 549 20
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND
RECREATION TO PURCHASE MISCELLANEOUS EQUIPMENT AND SUPPLIES
FOR THE COMMUNITY CENTERS IN COUNCIL DISTRICT 1.
WHEREAS,the Department of Parks and Recreation, Recreation Division,provides a
diversified recreation program that addresses the needs and interests of the respective
communities in a safe environment with zero tolerance for illegal drugs and violence; and
WHEREAS, the community centers in Council District 1 are heavily used by the
community for recreational activities and public events; and

WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation would like to improve its services
to the community and is requesting funds to purchase miscellaneous equipment and supplies for
the community centers in Council District 1; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that
Contingency Relief funds from Council District 1 will be appropriated to the Department of
Parks and Recreation to purchase miscellaneous equipment and supplies for the community
centers in Council District 1.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawaii hereby
transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this j
resolution to the Director of Parks and Recreation and Director of Finance, and that the Director
of Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of
this resolution.
