Aloha,my name is Lee McIntosh.I've lived in Discovery Harbour in Kau for 15 years.I own a landscaping business
called GopherLee that gives me the freedom to attend meetings.I was a board member of the Kau Chamber of
Commerce in charge of organizing their scholarship program each year and I recently represented my district on the
Cost of Government Commission. I'm currently a member of Amazing Grace Baptist Church of South Point and a
board member of 0 Kau Kakou in charge of organizing the Naalehu Independence Day Parade each year.
Councilwoman David's office brought to my attention the vacancy on the Environmental Management Commission.
I believe that waste management is an important responsibility of the County,and this commission would provide a
great opportunity to participate. There are some suggestions that were identified by the Cost of Government
Commission concerning waste management that can be further explored by the Environmental Management
Commission and I can also glean from what I've seen done in other areas where I have lived in the past on the
mainland and Oahu for ideas.Mahalo for considering my nomination and I hope the Council will allow me the
opportunity to serve on the Environmental Management Commission.
